Developed and debuted in 2011, by 2014 it had expanded to three European cities outside of Brussels. Now scheduled to visit seven cities the course has seen overwhelmingly positive feedback from its participants and speakers.
This year the course will be run at its home in Brussels, as well as London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Geneva, Cologne and Lisbon. Registrations opened in March and the first eager-to-learn young people have already shown interest.
Steve Price, director the EIIL and Ent-Ex coach, attended this year’s JADE spring meeting, sponsored by Covestro. JADE is the confederation of Junior Enterprises and is founding partner of Ent-Ex. Their spring meeting gave us the chance to network with junior enterprises, informing potential participants of the events and of the partnering possibilities with Ent-Ex.
As part of the EIILs continued commitment to the sharing of valuable, practical entrepreneurship knowledge, Steve Price, assisted by Ent-Ex Programme Manager Alice Vandekerkhove ran a workshop based around managing events and entrepreneurship across multiple countries. Using Ent-Ex as a demonstration vehicle, they showed how junior enterprises can improve collaboration across international boundaries and better promote their events.
The spring meeting also allowed JADE to launch the topic for this year’s Big Debate. After a larger panel discussion at the meeting, the debate will also be held in miniature at each Ent-Ex event. The purpose of the debate is to gather entrepreneurs, universities and local representatives to discuss large scale industry trends and developments. The theme announced this year was entrepreneurial skills in digital markets, tying in closely with Steve’s workshop.
